Free YouTube workout channels worth your time
YouTube has more free workouts than anyone could watch and most channels are not worth the scroll. These seven are on the reviewed shelf because their classes are sessions you can actually follow. Start with whichever matches what you have on the floor.
Lucy Wyndham-Read
Walking and low-impact sessions, ten to thirty minutes, no equipment, no jumping. The gentlest way in, and a good fit when joints are the concern.
Yoga With Adriene
Clear, unhurried yoga. Her beginner and seniors playlists are the easiest first step into the practice, and the longer flows hold up for years.
Lesley Logan
Mat Pilates from a working Pilates teacher, short and precise. Core and posture, cued well enough to follow with the sound low.
FitnessBlender
A very large library with honest titles: length, impact level and equipment are what they say. Filter to low impact when you need it.
Caroline Girvan
Dumbbell strength, harder, coached well. When you are ready to lift and want a plan that repeats, this is the shelf.
Move With Issy
Reformer and mat Pilates classes, full length, all levels. Several of her reformer sessions are on the reformer shelf here.
Flow With Mira
Mat Pilates and mobility, calm and steady. Good for mornings and for days after a hard session.
Questions
- Why these and not the biggest channels?
- Size was not the test. Whether the video is a session you can follow was. Some large channels are mostly talking, and those are not on the shelf.
- Are these channels paid to appear here?
- No. Nobody pays to be listed and there are no ads on Pariter. Each class plays in the creator's own YouTube player, so their views count as their own.
- Can I suggest a channel?
- Yes, from the contact page. It goes through the same review as everything else.
